Product Description:
"Broken Gourds" is inspirational folklore, written in the
tradition of Steinbeck's "Cannery Row." It is a portrait of humanity
mirrored in the events of one small Jamaican farming village. The story
follows a lowly healer whose mission is to empower the oppressed while
fostering harmony and hope. "Broken Gourds" is a tale of change and
permanence, love and hate, peace and pestilence. It is a story of life.
Those very elements which rocked that multiethnic community a century ago
are still at the very core of all society, of life, today.
Reviews
As a avid reader, I'm always excited when I come
across such a fantastic book as Broken Gourds. Told in the warm vibrant
style of story tellers from long ago, Broken Gourds is one of the best
books I've read in a while. Set in a small village in Jamaica, its a
story about traditions, religion, superstitions, and change as carried
down through the generations of the village's residents. From the moment
I picked it up, I became instantly transported to this little village in
Jamaica. I simply could not put it down. Beresford McLean is a Master

The World In Microcosm...
"In Broken Gourds Beresford McLean has
done something many writers never even attempt: he has taken the whole of
humanity and put in into an observable context. In the remote Jamaican
village of Albion, McLean has created a society of people where sin,
goodness, vengeance, and forgiveness comingle, as they do in us all.
Somewhere in the depths of it lies the discovery of both self and others.
McLeans village gives us a mirror in wich to find the essence of humanity.
It is well worth the read." ------ Peter Heyrman, writer and editor
Exquisitely done! Memorable!
"Broken Gourds is a story that empowers
the oppressed & fosters harmony & Hope; a tale of change & permanence, hate
& love, pestilence & peace. Broken Gourds is also lyrically written in
a language that dances & darts, creating images & memories which, like the
city folks who had to stop and hear the story, make the reader stop and
linger, fascinated by the telling. ----Rebeccareads
"A story about healing, about triumph,
about humanity....McLean does a good job of showing readers that good books
have a way of presenting the same old lessons in a different shades of
humanity." ----Critique Magazine

Mysteries of Templar Treasure &
The Holy Grail
The Secredts of Rennes Le
Chateau
By Lionel & Patricia Fanthorpe
Forwarded by Tim Wallace-Murphy
Next to Rosslyn Chapel in Scotland, no
other place on Earth holds as much esoteric symbolism as France’s Rennes le
Château. Its location and design are the subjects of countless rumors,
myths, and legends. Mysteries of Templar Treasure and the Holy Grail,
formerly published as The Secrets of Rennes le Château, delves into the
reality behind the action and adventure of The Da Vinci Code. Rennes le
Château has plenty of secrets: buried treasure, unsolved murders,
supernatural powers, codes on parchments and tombstones, not to mention
clues concealed in statues and paintings, enigmatic priests who controlled
immense wealth, and secret societies that are still active today.
The authors survey the arcane
history and secrets of Rennes le Château, including its relationship to
the Merovingian bloodline of Christ. The Château is a possible location of
an immense treasure, such as a Templar, Cathar, or Priory of Sion hoard.
The final resting place of a famous artifact like the Ark of the Covenant,
the Spear of Longinus, the Emerald Tablets of Hermes Trismegistus—or even
the Holy Grail.
The authors also examine Rennes le
Château’s proximity to Cathar and Templar fortresses, its mystical layout,
and its location on the same Paris meridian as so many other esoteric
mysteries.
Extensive appendices in the book
offer possible solutions to secret cryptograms, point out odd connections
and commonalities between Rennes le Château and J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of
the Rings, and suggest the possibility of fourth-dimension/ tesseract
implications.
